Service Asset and Configuration Analyst
Location:
ACT, NSW, QLD

Clearance:
Australian Citizenship & Baseline Security Clearance (mandatory)

Contract Duration:
12 months + 1 x 12-month extension + 1 x 6-month extension

We are seeking a highly skilled
Service Asset and Configuration Analyst
for a federal government contract. This role is pivotal in supporting the establishment and ongoing management of an enterprise-level Configuration Management Database (CMDB), while ensuring governance and data quality through alignment with ITIL and CSDM best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full lifecycle of Configuration Items (CIs), including hardware, software, and networks.
  • Support the design, implementation, and maintenance of the CMDB and associated processes.
  • Perform audits and verification of assets to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Develop and maintain configuration baselines and service mappings.
  • Implement and maintain CMDB governance frameworks and automated discovery tools.
  • Produce accurate and timely reporting and dashboards for stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulations.
  • Support operational teams with reliable configuration data for change, incident, and problem management.

Essential Criteria:

  • Proven expertise in Configuration Management and CMDB operations.
  • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow, including discovery, reconciliation, and reporting functions.
  • Strong understanding of CI lifecycle and service modeling.
  • Deep knowledge of ITIL v3/v4 and familiarity with the Common Service Data Model (CSDM).
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills across technical and business audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a focus on continuous improvement and risk mitigation.
