About the role

Macfarlane Generators Pty Ltd, a leading provider of power generation solutions, is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic/Diesel Fitter to join our dynamic team based in Seven Hills, NSW. This full-time role is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the maintenance and repair of diesel generator equipment, playing a crucial part in ensuring our clients have reliable power.

What you'll be doing

  1. Perform routine maintenance and servicing of diesel generators, engines and related equipment
  2. Diagnose and repair diesel engine faults and malfunctions
  3. Carry out scheduled inspections and preventative maintenance tasks
  4. Maintain accurate records of all work performed
  5. Provide technical support and advice to customers as required
  6. Collaborate with the wider technical team to ensure efficient operations
  7. Adhere to all health, safety and environmental policies and procedures

What we're looking for

  1. Formal qualifications in Diesel Mechanics or a related field
  2. Extensive experience as a Diesel Mechanic/Diesel Fitter, ideally within the power generation industry
  3. Strong working knowledge of diesel engine systems, including fuel, air, cooling and electrical systems
  4. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
  5. Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding skills
  6. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work
  7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  8. Excellent communication and customer service skills
