Established in 1885, the Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron is one of Australia's premier yacht clubs and serves as the gateway to Moreton Bay's stunning waters. We welcome members, their families, and friends to participate in our rich 134-year boating history. Our mission is to encourage participation in boating, cruising, and various on-water activities while fostering a strong sense of fellowship and belonging among members and guests both on and off the water.

Role Description

This is a casual, on-site role (approximately 15 hours per week) located in Manly, QLD. As a Digital Marketer at the Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron, your daily tasks will include strategy development, campaign management, content creation, SEO and social listening across several platforms and catering to various audiences. You will be responsible for ensuring the first contact people have with our brand is exemplary.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency across social media platforms and trends
  • Proficiency using social media scheduling tools such as Hopper HQ, Planable or Hubspot
  • High level of copywriting and grammar, in various voices
  • Experience using Wordpress and Elementor for website content management and SEO
  • Experience creating artwork using Adobe, Canva or similar
  • Video creation and editing skills
  • Customer service experience
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a dynamic environment
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • A positive attitude and professional demeanor
  • An understanding or experience of boating, sport marketing is a plus
