We are partnering with a leading pharmaceutical company who are seeking a Product Development Chemist to join a growing team.

In this role, you will be responsible for driving new product development while liaising with other departments to support business growth by offering technical expertise, and providing strategic guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare product samples using alternative chemicals and new ingredients, contribute to process and formulation improvements that reduce complexity and cost, and support innovation through efficient development practices.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team on product development initiatives, conducting research and experiments across various dosage forms.
  • Carry out both standard and advanced testing on raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, and stability studies.
  • Lead investigations into quality issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions. Offer technical support and troubleshooting expertise to resolve problems promptly.
  • Monitor production processes and provide ongoing coaching and training to staff, ensuring consistent adherence to hygiene, safety, and operational efficiency standards.

Skills & Experience required:

  • Confident communicator with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Tertiary qualified in Applied Science, Organic Chemistry, Food Science, Food Technology, or related field
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to problem solve and provide workable solutions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work in a team and autonomously.

This role is a permanent full time position, Monday - Friday in office with no WFH/hybrid opportunities.
