The Product Manager is responsible to own and drive the strategy of Novon's product portfolio, to ensure market and client relevance, scalability and managing the entire product lifecycle from inception to retirement.
The main responsibilities of this role include:
- Support key operations personnel with ushering in a new product management capability for Novon and contribute to developing an optimal process for product portfolio expansion, stakeholder collaboration and identification of key process milestones to support the growth of this new business capability.
- Conduct continuous research to grow your market knowledge and develop market insights into Novon's portfolio, as well as formulate strategies for product offerings within this product category.
- Perform client, competitor and market analysis and identify opportunities to define the product vision and opportunities for new product development or enhancements to existing products.
- Lead cross functional teams to design and develop new products, features, and improvements.
- Ensure deployment & commercialisation of the offerings within the business with careful consideration of strategy & objectives, P2M process adherence ensuring critical milestones by leading strong collaborative cross functional teams.
- Determine the feasibility of the concept for development and investigate new product concepts, provide input in expertise, feedback, and design ideas.
- Ensure Product Design leads and provides the appropriate product specifications for new products (or product enhancements)
- Collaborate closely with engineering, production, marketing, and sales teams in the development, QA, and release of products, and balance resources to ensure success for the entire organization.
- Monitor product portfolio performance to ensure ongoing client and market relevance through engagement sessions with clients and sales representatives.
- Contribute to product pricing strategies, understand the full input costs, and market factors influencing and determining optimal pricing.
- Translate product strategy into detailed requirements (PSB) for prototyping and final development by engineering teams
- Create product strategy documents that describe business cases, cost analysis, high-level use cases, technical requirements, revenue, and ROI. Etc.
- Oversee the definition, monitoring and management of the life cycle roadmap for each product in the portfolio and ensure that current features are appropriately aligned to the product definition, market requirements and evolving client needs
Essential:
- At least 3 years' experience in portfolio & product management within lighting industry
- Experience in ERP systems and advanced MS excel skills.
- Proven expert in managing multiple stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Proven success in overseeing all elements of the product development lifecycle.
- High effectiveness in managing cross-functional teams.
- Experience in delivering finely tuned product marketing strategies.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, combined with strong presentation and public speaking skills.
