Product Strategist

The Product Manager plays a pivotal role in spearheading the strategy of our product portfolio. Ensuring market and client relevance, scalability, and managing the entire product lifecycle from inception to retirement is at the core of this position.
Main Responsibilities Include:
- Supporting key operations personnel in ushering in a new product management capability for the company. Contributing to developing an optimal process for product portfolio expansion, stakeholder collaboration, and identification of key process milestones to support growth.
- Conducting continuous research to grow market knowledge and develop market insights into the portfolio. Formulating strategies for product offerings within the category.
- Performing client, competitor, and market analysis. Identifying opportunities to define product vision and opportunities for new product development or enhancements to existing products.
- Leading cross-functional teams to design and develop new products, features, and improvements.
- Ensuring deployment & commercialisation of offerings with careful consideration of strategy & objectives, P2M process adherence, and critical milestones through strong collaborative cross-functional teams.
- Determining feasibility of concepts for development and investigating new product concepts. Providing input in expertise, feedback, and design ideas.
- Ensuring Product Design leads and provides appropriate product specifications for new products (or product enhancements).
- Collaborating closely with engineering, production, marketing, and sales teams in development, QA, and release of products. Balancing resources for success.
- Monitoring product portfolio performance to ensure ongoing client and market relevance through engagement sessions with clients and sales representatives.
- Contributing to product pricing strategies. Understanding full input costs, and market factors influencing and determining optimal pricing.
- Translating product strategy into detailed requirements for prototyping and final development by engineering teams.
- Creating product strategy documents describing business cases, cost analysis, high-level use cases, technical requirements, revenue, and ROI.
- Overseeing definition, monitoring, and management of life cycle roadmap for each product in the portfolio. Ensuring current features are aligned to product definition, market requirements, and evolving client needs.
- Requires at least 3 years' experience in portfolio & product management within the industry. ERP systems, and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Proven expert in managing multiple stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
- Proven success in overseeing all elements of the product development lifecycle.
- High effectiveness in managing cross-functional teams.
- Experience in delivering finely tuned product marketing strategies.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills combined with strong presentation and public speaking skills.
