Your day to day

If you thrive on early mornings and love the buzz of breakfast service, this role could be the perfect step in your culinary journey. As a Demi Chef, you'll prepare and present a variety of breakfast dishes for both à la carte and buffet service. Your creativity, consistency, and attention to detail will shine through in every plate, ensuring each guest starts their day with a memorable dining experience.

You'll also play an important role in supporting, mentoring, and developing our Commis Chefs, Cooks, and Stewards, working alongside our passionate kitchen leaders to uphold the highest standards of food quality and hygiene.

What we need from you

  • Minimum 1–2 years' experience as a Chef, ideally in breakfast or high-volume service
  • Qualifications in Commercial Cookery/Culinary Arts from a registered training provider
  • Experience preparing and presenting a variety of breakfast dishes (à la carte and buffet)
  • Strong communication skills and a team-focused approach
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and time management
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment with early starts (shifts from 5:30am)
  • Flexibility to work on weekends and public holidays as part of a rotating roster
  • Full legal rights to work in Australia
