Certification Authorisation Consultant

Play a key role in safeguarding critical Defence systems as a Certification Authorisation Consultant. In this project-embedded opportunity, you'll work with classified systems including satellite communications, cross-domain solutions, and hybrid networks. You'll conduct ICT security assessments aligned with Defence and Government policy, and collaborate with internal teams to support secure operations.

Location: ACT

Essential Duties:

  • Conduct ICT security assessments in line with Defence and Government security policies (e.g. PSPF, ISM, DSPF).
  • Produce Security Assessment Reports (SARs) and Authority to Operate (ATO) Briefs using approved templates.
  • Provide ICT Security advice during meetings and workshops with project stakeholders.
  • Contribute to CSAA and customer-specific reporting and briefing requirements.

Key Criteria:

  • Proven experience performing security risk assessments on complex systems, including SECRET classified environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce formal documentation such as SARs and ATOs.
  • Familiarity with government security frameworks and policy (PSPF, ISM, DSPF).
  • Current NV1 security clearance and ability to work on-site in Canberra-based Defence facilities.
