ILS Consultant

Team Nova is a Major Service Provider (MSP) to the Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG) within the Australian Department of Defence. Team Nova is committed to growing the capacity of CASG and industry to deliver on the Integrated Investment Program. We have commenced multiple long term Integrated Work Packages (IWP) in Joint, Land and Aerospace Systems Divisions of CASG.

We have permanent opportunities for people to work as a Senior Logistics Consultant in our GWEO/EMB Maritime SPO. You could be supporting a range of different projects that sit across GWEOEMB Maritime domain.

The opportunity:

Development of weapon plans for the Underwater Capability and Maritime Mines in accordance with policy, guidance and best practice. Plans include but are not limited to project management, asset management, engineering, certification approvals, T&E, FIC, ILS, contract management, sustainment and disposal plans.

Plan, prepare, develop and support weapon integration activities, schedules and plans for platforms. Including technical risk, dependencies, schedule, cost and Fundamental Inputs to Capability elements.

Support, coordinate and inform:

• Financial Management including budget, additional estimates and budget estimates.
• Risk Management - including consistent presentation and coordination of risk in reporting tools and preparation of risks for presentation to executive and stakeholder committees and reviews.
• Reporting - on a monthly basis. This includes the collation, executive drafting and coordination of technical expertise as required to meet reporting deadlines and requirements.
• Strategic Support - include submission and report drafting, recruitment and HR support, sustainment and IPT reporting and presentations, schedule and resource management. Visit management may also be required.
• This task includes the management of data requests, visit co-ordination activities, executive level brief drafting and monitoring, coordination and reporting on UW and TMF activities, review and update of corporate information in a variety of mediums and reporting systems, support to executive committees include action item management and minutes, if required.
• This task may include preparation of material to update the status of UW capabilities for Government Approvals when it is presented to Government on a 6 monthly basis

What we would like from you:

• Experience in acquisition and/or sustainment projects
• Experience in Defence contracting using ASDEFCON principles
• Understanding of Support System Support resources and requirements
• Understanding of Reliability Availability Maintainability (RAM) concepts
• Experience using MILIS
• Knowledge of Technical Publication Standards
• Australian Citizen with the ability to obtain an AGSVA Clearance
• Good communication and liaising skills
• Be a clear communicator both written and verbal
• Be a team player with a can-do attitude
