With over 35 years of operation and multiple offices across QLD, we deliver Electrical, HVAC, and Fire Services on major and minor projects.We currently have an opportunity for 2full-time Grade 5 Dry Fire Technician/Electricians to join our project at Woodford.

The primary objective for this role is to provide dry fire services for the installation and maintenance of fire detection and EWIS systems, and to ensure that group objectives and plans are achieved.

Position key responsibilities


• Interpreting plans specific to the dry fire requirements of fire detection and EWIS systems


• Installation, commissioning and servicing of existing and newly installed fire detection and EWIS systems


• Reporting any incidents, hazard observations, substandard conditions and practices or other safety & quality issues immediately to supervisor/manager


• Understanding and following all site-specific SWMS, SOPs and other safety documentation


• Performing a Take 5 risk assessment whenever applicable


• Participating in SWMS Review consultation process


• Other work tasks as required and or delegated, in line with job role and the current EBA you are employed under

Qualifications

· Current license/registration

· Strong working knowledge in the installation of fire detection and EWIS systems

· A valid drivers' licence

· A valid National and/or General Construction Industry induction card

· Ability to work well in a team and/or where required autonomously

· Ability to supervise apprentice level staff

· Sound knowledge of Fire detection & EWIS system safety standards

· Ability to learn and use specialised software if required
