Our team is comprised of specialist fire protection professionals, contractors, plumbers, sprinkler fitters and electricians who not only install, but also maintain and provide ongoing support for your fire protection system.

About the Role

We are currently seeking experienced Suppression Fire Technicians to join our CQ Team on a fly in, fly out basis from Brisbane or Drive in drive out of Mackay. These positions will work across multiple mine sites supporting open cut mine sites within the Bowen Basin.

In this hands on role, you will be responsible for the inspection, servicing and maintenance of critical portable fire equipment, fire detection and suppression systems.

The position operates on a 7 days on, 7 days off roster, working 11 hour shifts, with flights between Brisbane and Mackay provided and a daily tax free meal allowance.

Total Fire will provide all the required training and Certificate 2 in Fire Qualification.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Willing to learn about suppression fire equipment
  • Excellent workmanship, reliability, attention to detail and ability to work in a team
  • A high standard of safety and a commitment to continual improvement
  • An ability to work independently with a high level of communication and customer service skills
  • An ability to prioritise and arrange service tasks and accurately complete service related documentation
  • Manual Drivers Licence

Willing to obtain:

  • Current Standard 11
  • Current Section 4 Medical
  • Work at Heights Certification
  • QBCC Licence
