Join a leader in fire protection and play a key role in delivering high-quality fire projects. We are seeking a motivated Technical Officer to support the design, installation, and commissioning of dry fire projects within our fire protection team.
About the Role
This role is perfect for someone with technical knowledge of fire systems who enjoys both office-based design/documentation and on-site quality checks. You will assist in preparing project designs and documentation, support field staff with clear instructions, and ensure installations meet compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing initial designs and detailed drawings for dry fire systems
- Provide clear design documentation to support field staff during installation
- Conduct installation quality checks to ensure compliance with Australian Standards and project requirements
- Program fire indicator panels across all major brands.
- Assist in preparing and monitoring commissioning plans and documentation
- Set up and maintain project compliance records and monitoring systems
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and site staff to deliver safe, compliant fire protection solutions
About You
- 10+ years of experience in the fire protection or building services industry (dry fire experience highly regarded)
- Familiarity with Australian Standards and Building Codes relating to fire systems
- Competency with CAD or drafting software (training available if needed)
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Good communication skills to work with both office teams and site staff
- Relevant trade background, diploma, or certificate in fire protection/building services (QBCC Mandatory)
- Current driver's licence
