Smart Cookies Early Learning Centre is a family-owned and operated service with over 10 years of experience in the early childhood sector. We pride ourselves on providing high-quality education and care for children aged 9 months to 6 years, guided by the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Standards.

We are seeking an experienced and inspiring Director to lead our wonderful 34-place service in Beecroft NSW.

This is a rewarding opportunity to step into a key leadership role where you'll work closely with a supportive management team to drive high-quality outcomes for children, families, and educators.


About the Role

As the Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the service, ensuring compliance, supporting educators, and maintaining a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and mentoring a team of passionate educators
  • Driving continuous improvement and quality practice in line with the National Quality Framework (NQF)
  • Ensuring delivery of a high-quality educational program aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
  • Maintaining compliance with all relevant regulatory, WHS, and child protection requirements
  • Building strong, collaborative partnerships with families and the community
  • Managing enrolments, Child Care Subsidy (CCS) compliance, budgets, and the overall performance of the centre

What We're Looking For
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Director or Nominated Supervisor
  • Minimum Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (ACECQA-approved) or equivalent
  • Current certifications in First Aid, Asthma & Anaphylaxis, and Child Protection
  • Deep understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law & Regulations, EYLF, NQS, and CCS
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to support, develop and inspire a team
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Good time management skills and able to work with minimum supervision using own initiatives
  • Experience with Assessment & Rating would be highly regarded
  • Commitment to child safety, inclusive practices, and building a positive centre culture
  • Permanent right to work in Australia
