The City of Busselton is looking for a Senior Development Planner to bring expertise, leadership, and vision to our dynamic team.

As a Senior Development Planner, you'll lead the assessment of development and subdivision applications, provide expert advice to Council, and lead a talented team of planners while influencing key decisions that will define our city's future.
What you'll do:
- Take the lead on complex development and subdivision assessments.
 - Mentor and support a team of planners, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
 - Provide sound, planning advice to Council and stakeholders.
 - Ensure development aligns with planning legislation, policy, and the City's long-term vision.
 - Use your delegated authority to make informed, impactful decisions that support sustainable growth.

What you'll bring to the role:
You will align with our values and ideally have the following competencies:
- Degree in Urban & Regional Planning, or similar qualification.
 - Minimum three years' experience in town planning in Western Australia.
 - Highly developed interpersonal and collaborative negotiation skills.
 - Highly developed verbal communication and presentation skills.
 - Highly developed analytical, conceptual and design skills.
