Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our team. This entry-level role is perfect for recent graduates or early-career professionals looking to build a strong foundation in accounting and financial services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing financial statements and reports
  • Perform general bookkeeping and data entry
  • Reconcile bank accounts and resolve discrepancies
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Preparation of Income Tax Returns for individuals and other entities
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records
  • Liaise with clients and respond to basic queries
  • Assist with ATO and ASIC compliance tasks

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or near completion)
  • Familiarity with Australian accounting standards and regulations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks)
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to learn and take direction from senior accountants
