**About the role**:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our friendly and collaborative Environmental Health Team

Reporting to the Senior Environmental Health Officer, you will work in a team consisting of five EHOs. You will proactively support our local community to achieve and maintain high standards of public and environmental health. Due to the unique nature of the region, this role offers a diverse range of public health areas including food safety, water safety, caravan parks / camping grounds, waste-water approvals, event safety and mosquito management, just to list a few.

**What you will need to succeed**:
You will align with our values and ideally have the following competencies:

- Qualification acceptable for appointment as an Environmental Health Officer or authorised person, such as a Graduate Diploma or Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Developed problem solving techniques, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- High level ability to work independently or as part of a team.
