What you'll do:

Based in the Santos Brisbane office, the Senior Tenures Advisor drives technical coordination and governance of tenure management, administration and compliance across Santos' Australian onshore operations. Your core focus is ensuring robust tenure management and compliance throughout the lifecycle, supporting safe and effective exploration, development and production.

This is a 6-month Fixed Term Contract.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the preparation, review and accuracy of technical reports and data submitted to regulatory bodies.
• Provide technical support to the Tenures team to ensure effective tenure management and governance across upstream operations.
• Promote and uphold tenure management and compliance standards aligned with Santos policies.
• Develop and implement company-wide tenure standards and processes. Provide expert advice throughout the tenure lifecycle: planning, design, construction, operation, abandonment and rehabilitation.
• Provide strategic advice on tenure approvals, compliance, risks and management opportunities across all assets.
• Manage governance processes and assurance activities for tenure data within Landfolio (or other databases).
• Assist internal teams with tenure-related issues and projects as required.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of onshore resource legislation, regulations and industry best practices.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with regulatory authorities to support timely and accurate tenure advice.

What you'll bring:

We are looking for an experienced Tenures Advisor to apply strategic thinking and ensure comprehensive and accurate tenure management.

Your ability to work collaboratively with key stakeholders, apply meticulous attention to detail and provide effective clerical and communication skills is key, along with:

• Significant tenure management experience, preferably within the onshore oil & gas industry
• Sound knowledge of petroleum legislation, tenure procedures and systems
• Understanding of government processes and procedures
• Ideally degree qualified or equivalent tertiary education and/or relevant industry experience in a technical field
