An exciting opportunity exists for three high performing individuals to join The Wave (Rail), within Transport and Main Roads (TMR) in the role of AO6 Senior Advisor (Commercial Contracts).

The Wave (Rail) project, previously known as the Direct Sunshine Coast Rail Line project, is a generational infrastructure project that will revolutionise travel for the Sunshine Coast region, creating a seamless public transport network for the region. The Wave will deliver heavy passenger rail from Beerwah to Birtinya, and metro-style vehicles will provide links between Birtinya, Mountain Creek, Maroochydore CBD and the Sunshine Coast Airport.

The Opportunity

In the role of Senior Advisor (Commercial Contracts), you will provide timely and relevant commercial advice, information, and support to The Wave (Rail) project, ensuring the effective management of commercial activities and monthly reporting. You will collaborate with other commercial teams across TMR's Rail Division and external stakeholders to implement a high-standard commercial strategy and management framework. The role involves supporting the commercial team as a subject matter expert, assisting with the development and implementation of business processes, and preparing commercial documentation such as correspondence, notices, briefing notes, dashboards, and reports.

As the Senior Advisor (Commercial Contracts), you will analyse complex commercial matters, conduct detailed reviews of payment claims and invoices, and provide professional advice to address key commercial issues. You will monitor and report on contractual milestones and commercial performance, ensuring risks and issues are identified early and addressed to support accountability and continuous improvement. Additionally, you will engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders, communicating complex commercial ideas with influence to achieve organisational and project objectives, while providing ongoing support to commercial directors and managers across all commercial activities.
