Role Description

This is an on-site role for a Senior Environmental Advisor (contract) located in Queensland, Australia with an 8/6 roster. Initially a 12-month contract with great prospects for extension, the Senior Environmental Advisor will be responsible for, as part of a team, ensuring environmental compliance for the site. Day-to-day tasks will include oversight of the advisor team, data analysis, report writing, developing plans, procedures and work instructions, monitoring environmental performance, and advising on environmental issues. The advisor will also collaborate with various departments to drive environmental initiatives and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field
  • Solid experience in the mining industry is essential (preferably metalliferous)
  • Experience in Report Writing and Environmental Compliance
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
