  • Collaborate with system administrators and IT teams to ensure payroll systems are configured for compliance and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and recommend enhancements to improve compliance outcomes.

  • Analyse payroll data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare detailed reports for internal stakeholders, executive leadership, and external regulatory bodies.
  • Contribute to strategic planning through data-driven insights and recommendations.

What you will bring:

  • Extensive experience in payroll operations and compliance within complex, multi-entity environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, including QLeave, superannuation, taxation, and employment law.
  • Hands-on experience with Aurion and/or Chris21 payroll systems.
  • Formal qualifications in Payroll, HR, Finance, Business, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead audits, manage compliance programs, and implement process improvements.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and influencing skills.
  • A can-do attitude, coupled with the willingness to go the extra mile.
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to pivot priorities depending on the needs of the organisation.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy; pro-active approach to tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Commitment to the mission and values of the not-for-profit sector.
