Perigon Group has partnered with a national organisation operating across multiple sites with a diverse workforce under several EBAs and awards. The business is undertaking a payroll review to ensure compliance, improve efficiency, and optimise the use of its payroll system. This is an opportunity to step in, provide independent insights, and make a tangible impact on payroll operations.

The Role
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Consultant for a 1-2 month contract to complete an independent audit of payroll systems and processes. Reporting to senior decision makers, you will play a key role in reviewing EBAs, awards, payroll system utilisation, and process efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct an end-to-end payroll audit across multiple sites
  • Review compliance with EBAs and relevant awards
  • Identify errors and inconsistencies in payroll processing
  • Assess record-keeping practices against legislation and recent case law
  • Provide recommendations on process improvements and payroll system utilisation.
  • Deliver clear reporting on compliance risks and efficiency opportunities

About You

  • Demonstrated payroll audit and compliance experience
  • Strong knowledge of EBA interpretation, award compliance, and record-keeping obligations
  • Proven ability to assess payroll systems and recommend process improvements
  • Strong analytical and investigative skills
  • Confidence working with staff across multiple sites to correct payroll practices
  • Ability to work independently and provide actionable insights to senior decision makers
