Backfill Operator

MPI are currently seeking a Backfill Operator to join our client's gold mining operation in WA.

About the role:

You'll be responsible for helping the Process Technicians keeping the process plant running smoothly. Operating machinery around the plant, sampling, logging data, inspecting the circuit etc.

Key responsibilities:

  • Operate all processing plant equipment in a safe and efficient manner
  • Identify areas requiring preventative maintenance or repairs
  • Operate the IT loader, bobcat, forklift, and power tools in a safe and correct manner.

What we're looking for:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in gold processing
  • Valid WA C class driver's licence
  • Tickets - Working at Heights and Confined Spaces, Skid Steer, Loader, IT etc
  • Current national police clearance (issued within the last 6 months)
  • Able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening.
