
Procurement & Supply Chain Manager

This role is instrumental in assisting the Operations Team and will lead the execution of the supply chain strategy and deliver stakeholder satisfaction in line with company goals. The ideal candidate will be able to manage supply chain planning, control processes, and develop and improve supply chain best practices. Tamboran is committed to building a presence in the NT, Australia as it expands its program.
Description of Service and Expectations:
- Manage the procurement and supply chain function and growing team;
- Develop and manage the procurement processes and sourcing strategy;
- Accountable for the consolidated supply chain management function including supply and demand forecasting, inventory management, logistics, and implementation of a fit for purpose ERP system;
- Parter with the Social Performance team in its requirements to identify and provide knowledge of and access to local jobs to Traditional Owners, Native Title Holders, and Aboriginals;
- Lead the tendering process to maximise value for Tamboran and ensure compliance with our JV operating agreements;
- Accountable for post award contract and contractor management;
- Work with service providers to increase their presence in the NT bringing their services closer to the field to facilitate a substantial reduction in service costs and delivery afforded by an increase in contract volume;
- Interact with suppliers to forecast lead times for materials and services required;
- Develop and nurture supplier relationships, negotiate and execute agreements;
- Engage with operations on the supplier delivery, quality, and cost issues, and drive solutions where needed;
- Ensure compliance with local laws and internal control requirements; and
- Perform other reasonable duties as requested.
Preferred Minimum Candidate Requirements:
- Candidate must have a minimum of 7 years of service in procurement & supply chain management preferably in an oil and gas environment
- College degree in supply chain management, business, finance, engineering, or related discipline is required; graduate degree is preferred
- Must demonstrate end-to-end procurement and supply chain expertise and negotiation skills
- Possess strong commercial management and budget acumen
- Maintain flexibility to changing business requirements and managing challenging situations
- Experienced and proficient with oral and written communications including public speaking
- Excellent computer skills in Microsoft office required
- Regular travel to field and service provider base operations will be expected; approximately 30% travel
