Operations Coordinator (Mandarin Speaking Skill)

The Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Operations Coordinator (Mandarin Speaking Skill) to support our expanding operations in St Marys. This is a permanent full-time position with an immediate start.

We are a well-established company in Western Sydney with more than 15 years of operational experience in waste and recycling, resource recovery, and manufacturing. Our focus is on processing, upgrading, and reusing recovered materials to deliver sustainable outcomes and support business growth.

Role Overview

The Operations Coordinator will work closely with the Director to assist in the day-to-day running of the factory. This role focuses on coordinating production schedules, supporting workflow efficiency, and helping different teams stay aligned.

This is a support and coordination position, not a direct management role. The ideal candidate will be organised, adaptable, and confident in working across different functions. Mandarin language skills are required for certain communications, but the position is primarily focused on operational support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Director in coordinating daily operations across the factory.
  • Assist with production planning and monitoring progress against schedules.
  • Help ensure workflows run smoothly between production, logistics, sales, and administration.
  • Prepare operational reports, track KPIs, and maintain records.
  • Provide support in communication across departments to resolve issues quickly.
  • Contribute to projects that improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Coordinating logistics, transport scheduling and warehouse activities, alongside production planning

What We Are Looking For

  • 2–3 years' experience in operations, manufacturing, logistics, or a similar field.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills in English; Mandarin speaking skill required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word); ERP/CRM system experience is advantageous.
  • Team-oriented, with the ability to support management without directly supervising staff.
  • Legal work rights in Australia (permanent resident or citizen).
