Job description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, test, and maintain telecommunications equipment, systems, and networks.
  • Diagnose and resolve faults in wireless, transmission, switching, and data communication systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance and upgrades to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of telecommunications infrastructure projects.
  • Monitor network performance and provide technical support to internal teams and clients.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of systems, configurations, and service records.
  • Collaborate with engineers and project managers to deliver solutions aligned with business needs.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior technicians or support staff as required.
  • Participate in the evaluation and testing of new technologies and equipment.

Accountabilities:

  • Ensure timely and effective resolution of technical issues affecting telecommunications services.
  • Maintain high standards of service quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Uphold network security and data integrity across all systems.
  • Deliver projects within scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory and licensing requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to innovation in service delivery.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Diploma or degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, or related field.
  • Proven experience in telecommunications systems and network support.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of proven experience in telecommunications systems and network support.
  • Strong knowledge of IP networking, fibre optics, wireless technologies, VoIP, and experience with network monitoring tools and testing equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
