The Overview

We're partnering with a leading national organisation on the lookout for an experienced Time & Attendance and Payroll Specialist to join their dynamic People & Culture team. This role has a strong focus on system administration and optimisation, ensuring that T&A and payroll platforms operate efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with relevant legislation and enterprise agreements. You'll play a key part in maintaining and enhancing the organisation's payroll and timekeeping systems, while also supporting the accurate and timely delivery of payroll. It's a dual-focus opportunity, ideal for someone who thrives on the technical and analytical side of T&A systems, enjoys problem-solving, and is passionate about improving processes that drive efficiency, accuracy, and a great employee experience.

What You'll Do

  • Maintain and enhance payroll and timekeeping systems (MyWorkplace, ADP Payforce).
  • Configure, test, and validate system updates, integrations, and enhancements.
  • Manage user access, training, and self-service resources.
  • Ensure payroll and systems comply with legislation, enterprise agreements, and company policy.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve compliance.
  • Process end-to-end payroll for salaried, award, and enterprise agreement employees.
  • Liaise with sites, vendors, and stakeholders to finalise payroll inputs and outputs.
  • Administer payroll tax, superannuation, PAYG, and WorkCover obligations.
  • Perform reconciliations and variance reporting to support pay-run approvals.

What They're Looking For

  • Strong system administration background across payroll, timekeeping, or HRIS platforms.
  • Proven experience in payroll processing.
  • Strong Award and EBA interpretation.
  • In-depth understanding of Australian payroll legislation, including PAYG, super, and payroll tax.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • High attention to detail and a strong compliance mindset.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Continuous improvement experience and problem-solving capability.

If you're passionate about accuracy, systems, and process excellence, and enjoy working across both the people and technical sides of payroll, I'd love to hear from you.
