Where the team fits in

The Real Commercial Prime team sits within the Commercial Growth and Industry Partnerships team in the Customer Group. The RCA Prime team are the experts in advertising solutions and insights for commercial property. The Head of Specialist Sales - Real Commercial, will report to the GM of Commercial Growth and Industry Partnerships.

What the role is all about

The Head of Specialist Sales - Real Commercial will lead a senior sales team with the objective of driving revenue growth and improving product uptake from core advertising solutions for real commercial customers.

The role will work closely with Heads of all business units in the Customer Group to drive a better customer and employee experience. The role includes developing strategic plans that align with departments like Customer Excellence, Support, Product, and Partnerships, while acting as the Ambassador for Real Commercial to ensure team performance and growth in revenue with a customer-centric approach.

Being the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for sales and product development, the role also involves leading team culture and capability development, ensuring alignment with business goals, and advocating the customer voice for product feedback.

Responsibilities:

- Achieve set targets for core advertising products and related revenue.
- Cultivate a high performance, supportive and engaging team culture.
- Foster collaboration between specialist teams and work with Heads of business units for optimal customer, people, and budget outcomes.
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for sales and advertising products, guiding product development and customer initiatives.
- Work alongside Learning & Development teams to enhance the sales team’s capability.
- Collaborate across Industry partnerships, Specialist Sales, Relationship Managers, and more for product growth opportunities.
- Represent the customer’s voice through feedback and market insights for core products.
- Align the team with business initiatives, tactical opportunities, and GTM plans.
- Drive trust and collaboration within teams and strive for positive sentiment across adjacent teams.
- Collaborate on capacity planning, commission plans, customer segmentation, and opportunity identification with the sales operations.

Who we’re looking for

A strong leader who can become one of the key faces of Real Commercial nationally.
- Demonstrated focus on building a successful sales team spread across geographies, and a thriving culture - prior leadership experience of large and complex teams in a corporate sales environment is critical
- Independent thinker who can self-solve and challenge the status quo when necessary
- Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, market analysis, business planning, delivering growth initiatives, and implementing effective systems and processes
- Media/ marketing and digital advertising experience highly desirable
- Experience successfully supporting teams through change
- A leader who can work productively in a fast paced and agile environment - #gsd (urban dictionary will help on this one)
