Where the team fits in
The Programmatic Trading Manager sits within the Programmatic Trading team which is part of the winder Advertising & Value team, in the Product & Audience Group. The Programmatic Trading team work closely with the Product, Sales teams and their customers to activate digital advertising campaigns across various programmatic trading and social media platforms. These multi-channel campaigns run outside of REA Group's digital properties and utilise our valuable first party audience data to drive client performance and revenue.

What The Role Is All About
The Programmatic Trading Manager will ensure their team support our extension products operations & strategy in the following ways:

  • Work with the Programmatic Supply Integrations Manager and the Programmatic Insights and Analytics Specialist to develop & execute bidding, targeting and inventory trading strategies for all offsite media buying across Display, Audio, Video & Social Media
  • Work with the Developer, Media and CGIP Sales teams to deliver targeted and effective Audience Extension solutions across Display, Audio, Video & Social Media
  • Implement, QA, and troubleshoot ad campaigns, using Demand Side Platfoms, Social Media ad-buying platformns and other ad tech solutions
  • Manage campaign timelines and deliverables across internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage the acquisition of creative assets, insertion orders, campaign artifacts, and all relevant campaign documentation in preparation for campaign launch
  • Execute a strict campaign QA process to ensure accurate campaign implementation, pacing, and performance
  • Ensure that all campaign information is easy to access for all customers & stakeholders

The Programmatic Trading Manager Will Also
Work with the Head of Programmatic Trading to create and execute team commitments, continuing development and training programs.

  • Create, foster and review team-wide expectations and performance standards and ensure their team both on and offshore are providing exemplary service at every level.
  • Be an effective key Point of Service (POS) for escalations and communication between their team, internal and/or external stakeholders to ensure all campaign or commercial issues are swiftly resolved.
  • Ensure accuracy and quality of all campaign elements by performing regular quality control measures.
  • Lead by example in adopting, developing and implementing efficient best practices and processes in operations and across related teams.
  • Work with the Head Of Programmatic Trading and key stakeholders to define on and offshore resource allocations and adjust team focus to help reach REA Group's targets.
  • Participate in regular WIPs and meetings, as necessary, with internal and external customers.
  • Be proactive in seeking revenue driving solutions and innovations with key stakeholders in Sales and Product as well as external vendors.
  • Review and provide feedback on new processes, tools and product releases that will improve operational efficiencies and revenue growth.
  • Be proactive in driving knowledge sharing, innovation and efficiencies in the Programmatic Trading team.

What We're Looking For

  • 4+ years' experience trading media using Demand Side Platforms and Social Media ad-buying platforms
  • Experience in managing individuals/teams preferably in an operations team or environment.
  • Ability to think creatively and look at tricky situations through a solutions-focused lens.
  • Excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Solid understanding of the wider media landscape and technologies.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Analytical thinker with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Ability to work productively in a fast paced and agile environment - #gsd (urban dictionary will help on this one)
