About the role:

LifeAid is seeking a talented Manager, Operations to play a pivotal role as part of a close-knit team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This is a unique opportunity to lead the coordination of deployment activity, together with the management and maintenance of LifeAid vehicles and equipment.

About you:

You are an experienced and motivated Operations Manager with a passion for supporting communities through the efficient response of emergency service capability. You pride yourself in your attention to detail and can create and maintain strong working relationships with a wide range of people. You are a people focused leader with a strong interest in being hands on and developing others.

Responsibilities will include:

●     
A hands on, proactive mindset.

●     
Maintain readiness of the LifeAid situation room.

●     
Provide leadership of the coordination of deployments of paramedic and first responder resources, including scheduling & rostering of all deployed staff.

●     
Recruit, develop and coordinate a cohort of Deployment Team Leaders to support deployments.

●     
Run familiarisation & education days with internal Life Aid staff.

●     
Develop and manage duty officers drawn from LifeAid permanent and casual staff to provide 365 day a year duty coverage for LifeAid activities.

●     
Daily reporting to clients (when on-site).

●     
Action feedback to provide continuous improvement of LifeAid services and delivery.

●     
Being across and understanding the intricacies of client contracts and scope of work.

●     
Ownership of fleet management objectives and outcomes.

●     
Manage and coordinate project plans for vehicle repairs and maintenance.

●     
Support and assistance with Project based work as defined by owners of the business outside of the fire season.

●     
Assistance when required on any tender preparations as defined by owners of the business.

●     
Provide an engagement and liaison function to both internal and external stakeholders regarding fleet vehicles.

●     
Coordinate the inspection scheduling, and subsequent vehicle movements, to and from approved fleet service providers.

●     
Leadership & management of the Operations team.

Skills and Knowledge (Competencies):

●     Comprehensive knowledge of paramedics / medical industry

●     Ability to facilitate excellent patient care

●     TAE preferable

●     Understand regulation & compliance standards

Personal Attributes:

●     Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.

●     A proactive approach towards problem-solving while maintaining a positive attitude.

●     Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients and internal teams.

●     Ability to prioritise tasks effectively and handle multiple assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced, and at times, high pressure environment.

●     Demonstrated track record of taking initiative in previous roles
