Jo Mercer and Wittner Australia, both part of The Shoe Group, are seeking a passionate and driven Talent Acquisition/HR Advisor to join our HR team. This is a newly created full-time position and will be based at our Jo Mercer Support Office in South Yarra.

Reporting to the HR Manager, you'll take ownership of end-to-end recruitment and onboarding for both brands, while also contributing to broader HR operations and employee engagement initiatives. You'll collaborate closely with hiring managers and team leaders to ensure smooth processes and help foster a vibrant, connected workplace culture.

What You'll Be Doing (but not limited to)

  • Leading full-cycle recruitment and partnering with hiring managers to attract top talent

  • Coordinating onboarding, inductions, and exit interviews

  • Supporting HR administration, compliance, and reporting

  • Driving employee engagement and retention initiatives

  • Assisting with the rollout of our People strategy across all HR pillars

  • Managing our HRIS platform, Employment Hero

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in end-to-end recruitment, ideally across corporate and retail environments

  • Strong organisational and time management skills

  • A proactive, customer-focused approach with excellent communication abilities

  • Experience using Employment Hero HRIS (preferred)

  • Generalist HR knowledge including Fair Work, policies, and procedures

  • A genuine passion for workplace culture, engagement, and continuous improvement

  • Someone who can be the point of contact in the absence of the HR Manager

  • Be ok with working from the office full-time - we work better together face to face
