The Opportunity
Plant Engineer is a critical position in Maeil Australia manufacturing operations, ensuring its facilities run safely, smoothly and efficiently. Core responsibilities include equipment management, process improvement, and the implementation of novel productivity initiatives. This is an expert position which is more than just mechanics; plant engineers are innovators propelling advancement and play a critical role in maintaining competitiveness and operational excellence for Maeil Australia through adopting innovative ideas.
Job Descriptions

Plan and coordinate regular equipment servicing, maximising plant shut down preventive maintenance regime.
-
Lead Root Cause Analysis and Corrective & Preventative Action (CAPA) processes to drive long-term plant and equipment stability and maximise availability.

Evaluate, plan and implement capital works to meet or improve business performance.
-
Provide high level technical support to both maintenance and operations team members on repair, preventive maintenance, and equipment availability.

Build internal engineering capability by mentoring operational teams and assist in delivering technical training.
-
Facilitate the improvement and maintenance of the site's MEX preventive maintenance system and asset database.
Successful Applicant
-
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
-
Minimum five years in a manufacturing or production setting, preferably proven firsthand experience in dairy industry or similar roles with responsibilities in demanding FMCG production.

Strong understanding of mechanical systems, materials, and production equipment.
-
Strength to articulate stakeholders' requirements, resourceful in dealing with ambiguity and drive results.

Thrives on problem solving and takes initiative while maintaining a collaborative approach. Ability to multi-task when in a dynamic work environment.

Familiarity with MEX maintenance software.
