About the role

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic General Manager to lead Ultimate Plant Trailers Pty Ltd, a successful manufacturing company based in North Geelong, Victoria. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the business and driving continued growth and profitability.

What you'll be doing
  • Providing strong leadership and direction to the management team and all employees
  • Developing and executing the company's strategic business plan to achieve ambitious growth targets
  • Overseeing all day-to-day operational functions, including production, finance, HR, sales and marketing
  • Building and maintaining key client and supplier relationships to drive business development
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing operational efficiencies
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations and company policies
  • Analyzing financial and operational data to inform decision-making and drive performance
  • Fostering a positive, collaborative and high-performing organisational culture
What we're looking for
  • Extensive experience as a General Manager or in a senior executive role, ideally within the manufacturing or engineering sector
  • Proven track record of leading organisational growth and delivering strong financial results
  • Excellent strategic and commercial acumen, with the ability to develop and execute successful business plans
  • Outstanding leadership, people management and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Exceptional problem-solving, decision-making and critical thinking abilities
  • Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting and reporting
  • Tertiary qualifications in business, engineering or a related discipline
