About The Role
As a Consultation and Administration Officer, you'll be part of a small, dedicated team that helps Traditional Owners make informed decisions about how income from Aboriginal land is distributed.

You'll build respectful relationships with Traditional Owners and community groups and provide support that helps them navigate processes with confidence and clarity.

You'll work with the Coordinator, Benefits Distribution (Consultation and Administration) and colleagues across the NLC to make sure every consultation is culturally appropriate, well-documented, and consistent with legislative and policy requirements.

About You
You're someone who enjoys contributing to steady, well-organised work that supports communities and delivers on commitments.

You Will Bring

  • Experience in administration, consultation, or community engagement;
  • Strong communication and organisational skills, with attention to detail;
  • The ability to work respectfully with Aboriginal people and build positive relationships;
  • Confidence using basic computer programs such as Microsoft Office; and
  • A C Class driver's licence and willingness to travel within the region.

A Diploma in administration, business, or community services is desirable, but practical experience and the right attitude are most important.

Why Join the NLC?
At the NLC, you'll work with purpose, supporting Aboriginal decision-making and the fair distribution of benefits that flow from Aboriginal land.

We Offer

  • Base salary $84, % superannuation
