About the role:
As a Business Development Coordinator, you'll work closely with our Partners and Directors to implement local business development strategies that support revenue growth and enhance client engagement. This is a dynamic role that blends research, strategy, and stakeholder engagement to help shape the future of our Melbourne office.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research on clients and prospects using tools like LinkedIn, Eloqua, CRM, and IBISWorld to support business development conversations.
- Build and maintain targeted prospect lists across divisions and sectors.
- Assist Partners and Principals in developing personal brand plans and identifying key networking opportunities.
- Support the creation of 12-month business development plans aligned with strategic goals.
- Facilitate key account planning to identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities.
- Review tenders and proposals for brand consistency and best practice
- Champion LinkedIn Sales Navigator and support social selling initiatives.
- Collaborate with Marketing to ensure effective event targeting and impactful promotional materials.
- Provide strategic BD guidance to senior stakeholders and identify cross-practice collaboration opportunities.
- Attend BD and Marketing committee meetings to drive initiatives forward.
About you:
You're a proactive and strategic thinker with a passion for business development and relationship building. With a few years of experience under your belt, you understand how to turn insights into opportunities and thrive in a fast-paced, professional services environment. You're confident working with senior stakeholders, love digging into research, and know how to bring structure and energy to BD initiatives.
What You'll Bring
- A tertiary qualification in Marketing, Business, or Communications (essential).
- 3+ years of experience in a business development or marketing role, ideally within professional services.
- Strong research and analytical skills with a knack for uncovering insights.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, you're confident engaging with senior stakeholders.
- Experience with CRM systems, marketing automation tools, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
- A proactive mindset and the ability to juggle multiple priorities with ease.
