The Opportunity:

Datamine is seeking an experienced Project / Resource Geology Consultant to join our Perth-based consultancy team. This role is ideal for a resource geologist who enjoys variety, thrives on problem-solving, and wants to continue engaging with mine sites and deposit styles without being tied to FIFO rosters.

You'll use your geology expertise and software skills to deliver consultancy services, technical training, and hands-on support for Datamine's industry-leading geological modelling and estimation solutions. The role offers the chance to engage with a diverse range of clients and commodities across the APAC region, while being based in Perth.

What You'll Do:

In your first year, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering client training sessions in geological modelling and resource estimation
  • Providing technical support and guidance to clients, both remotely and on-site
  • Visiting mine sites to collaborate with geologists and demonstrate best practice workflows
  • Supporting pre-sales presentations and software demonstrations
  • Hosting webinars to showcase innovative workflows and new functionality
  • Developing knowledge base articles and resources to support ongoing client success

What We're Looking For:

  • A degree majoring in Geology from a recognised tertiary institution, preferably with Honours.
  • Extensive experience in resource geology or project evaluation, including grade estimation and geological modelling.
  • Familiarity with geological software packages, with strong data interpretation and reporting skills.
  • Experience with Datamine Studio RM, Supervisor, and/or Isatis is highly advantageous.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships.
  • A willingness to travel and engage directly with clients on-site.
  • Must have the right to live and work in Australia to apply.
