We are looking for experienced Casual Chefs in the Brisbane CBD and inner Suburbs.

About The Role

In your role, you will prepare high-quality, wholesome meals all within the client's private residence. At times one-on-one teaching cookery for clients to build capacity and self-confidence.

You will work closely with management and clients on menu development and planning, so a desktop or laptop computer and reliable internet are essential.

⁣This role would suit an empathetic, family-oriented chef looking for a change of pace. The hours are family-friendly. Give back to the community and work in a sector that needs good chefs. If you don't want to work weekends or nights, you don't have to.⁣

You are encouraged to apply if you're not a qualified chef but have excellent food knowledge and a proven track record of 10 years of commercial experience in various settings, including contract catering, private chef, or decent restaurants.

You Will Need

  • Your own insured, clean, reliable car

  • Drivers license⁣

  • Own knives and chef's uniform⁣

  • Reliable internet, phone camera, email, computer, and printer⁣

  • Communication - Excellent verbal and written English ⁣

  • Professional referees

  • Australian citizen, permanent resident, bridging visa in place

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

  • Qualified chef preferred (International qualification welcome)⁣

  • Experience in a similar role working for disability support company, catering, or private chef, highly regarded⁣

  • Experience working in the disability, child care or aged sector, highly regarded⁣

  • Excellent understanding of food safety and hygiene⁣

  • Have a genuine passion for food and enthusiasm to help people⁣

Essential requirements

  • National police check⁣

  • Food handlers certificate⁣

  • Blue card⁣ (Working with children check)

  • First aid and CPR

  • NDIS modules⁣
