Job Description:

The role entails being on-call, able to cover gaps in client's rosters, be able to cope well under pressure, have an easy-going personality, quick decision making and problem solving abilities.

Candidate profile:

To be shortlisted for this position, you are required to possess the following:

  • Prior experience in Aged care kitchens, kitchen/ hospitality experience is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret dietary information.
  • A positive and results driven approach with strong communication skills and a flair for excellence.
  • A commitment to providing a caring and empathetic service to the residents.
  • A commitment to the principles of Workplace Health & Safety and ensuring a safe environment for residents and staff.

  • Ability to comply with safe work practices and food handling practices

  • Eye for detail and quality focused

  • Prefer candidates with diverse cooking experience
  • Must have had the Covid vaccines
  • Current flu shot
  • Current Police Check
  • Food handlers/ Food Safety Supervisor (if applicable)
  • Working rights in Australia
  • Driver's license and own reliable transport

What's on offer:

You will be paid above Award hourly casual staff rates (weekly bonuses) , Penalty rates where applicable plus Superannuation.
