About the Opportunity

The Facilities Maintenance Officer is responsible for undertaking maintenance

and repair (both planned and reactive) of Council owned facilities and assist

with procurement, coordination and delivery of maintenance and renovations

by contractors. The role is also responsible for providing professional technical

advice and guidance to community groups, contractors, assisting pool lessees

and other staff to ensure that operational requirements, construction and

maintenance works are completed as per approved plans and schedules and

within approved budgets. Further, where appropriate, you will work within your

professional capabilities to deliver works that enable cost savings for Council.

About Yourself

A person in this position will need to hold a relevant Trade Qualification in

Carpentry, OR be able to demonstrate equivalent related experience in

building and/or building maintenance. It is also highly desirable for the

successful candidate to have

(1) QLD Construction White Card

(2) Bobcat and/or Elevated Work Platform tickets; and

(3) MR Drivers Licence.

Salary Packaging Available
