The Maintenance & Grounds Officer is responsible for delivering the set actions as instruction by the Maintenance Coordinator. This role ensures that all maintenance and grounds actions are attended and completed in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

  • Maintenance and Property
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Coordinator on property maintenance.
  • Test and calibrate equipment as per the maintenance schedule.
  • Maintain Torbay grounds per Environmental Services standards.
  • Care for garden beds: spraying, pruning, watering, sweeping, and removing clippings.
  • Maintain grassed areas: mowing, edging, weeding, and mulching.
  • Service equipment per manufacturer's instructions.
  • Maintain positive interactions with residents and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Valid and current Police Certificate.
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role, ideally within an Aged Care Facility.
  • Demonstrated experience in general repairs and maintenance.
  • The ability to comply with the requirements of WHS and safe work practises and related procedures.
  • Well-developed written and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a small team.
  • Work cooperatively with the team and as directed by the Hotel Services Manager.
