Facilities and Maintenance Officer – Wonders of Wildhood Group

Wonders of Wildhood is seeking a reliable and skilled Facilities and Maintenance Officer to join our team. This role plays an important part in ensuring our centre is safe, well-presented, and welcoming for children, families, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Centre Director, you will:

  • Carry out general building and facility maintenance, including minor repairs, painting, and upkeep.
  • Maintain gardens, lawns, and outdoor play areas to a high standard.
  • Assist with landscaping and small improvement projects around the centre.
  • Support with event and program set-up when required.
  • Ensure the centre is always clean, safe, and visually welcoming.
  • Follow Work Health and Safety (WHS) practices to keep our environment safe for children, staff, and visitors.
Key Qualifications and Skills:
  • Relevant trade qualification (carpentry or similar) is highly regarded.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a maintenance, groundskeeping, or similar role.
  • Strong skills in general building and garden maintenance.
  • Practical problem-solving ability and strong attention to detail.
  • Commitment to safe work practices and WHS standards.
  • Current Police check & Blue Card (Working with Children).
  • Basic computer literacy.
