Who are we: Founded by Clinicians, Designed for Clinicians

We bring together experienced medical professionals and innovative thinkers to build the future of primary care. We value a diverse range of skills and expertise—from doctors and nurse practitioners delivering frontline care to product specialists and engineers optimising the patient experience. Our culture is built on collaboration, adaptability, and shared problem-solving.

All practitioners on Abby Health are fully licensed, Australian-based nurse practitioners (NPs) with years of experience. They are trained in telehealth and follow strict medical guidelines to ensure high-quality, evidence-based care. All of our patients receive the same level of medical expertise as they would in a traditional clinic.

We are a values-driven organisation.
Everything we do is guided by three simple principles: caring, beautiful and smart. These values shape our culture, inform our decisions, and define how we work with each other and our community.

How will you make an impact

At Abby Health, we care for a diverse range of patients, from young professionals managing their health on the go to rural Australians who struggle to access in-person care. Many of our patients don't have a regular GP or NP, so they rely on Abby for trusted, ongoing support. We see over 7,000 patients every week. Our clinicians diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions, from general health concerns and chronic conditions to mental health and sexual health care. From new diagnosis to prescription, pathology request, specialist referral, or preventative care, we ensure they get the right treatment without unnecessary barriers.

What you'll do

As a Telehealth Nurse Practitioner at Abby Health, you will provide virtual consultations and patient assessments, helping individuals across Australia access quality care from the comfort of their homes.

Your role will involve:

  • Conducting virtual consultations via phone and video for general health concerns, chronic conditions, and acute presentations
  • Providing prescriptions, referrals, pathology requests, and ongoing treatment plans
  • Reviewing structured patient histories before consultations to improve clinical efficiency
  • Carrying out follow-ups and long-term care management, ensuring continuity of care
  • Supporting a diverse patient base, including individuals in regional and remote areas who may have limited access to in-person care
  • Setting your own schedule, with a minimum commitment of 6 hours per week (up to full-time availability)
  • Using our cloud-based practice management system, with real-time support from our medical team

What we offer:

Flexible, Remote work

Work from anywhere, anytime. Whether you want to set your own hours or balance work with life, we give you the flexibility to create your schedule

Our support team responds to clinician requests in under 9 minutes, so you always have fast, reliable help when you need it. You can rely on our dedicated administrative team to handle patient bookings, referrals, and documentation with real-time support.

An intelligent Telehealth platform

Our intelligent Telehealth platform is built to enhance clinical decision-making and streamline patient care allowing clinicians to choose the patients and cases that match your clinical expertise with our patient preference system and receive structured patient histories before consultations through our intelligent patient intake forms.

A supportive and inclusive culture
A supportive and inclusive culture for clinicians where all healthcare providers—regardless of role, background, identity, or experience—feel respected, valued, and empowered to contribute fully. At Abby Health, we promote psychological safety, equity, and mutual respect, which we believe are crucial for both clinician well-being and high-quality patient care. Our clinicians have access to clinical guidance whenever needed with Clinical Director Julia Segal, an NP and Chief Medical Officer Dr Ramu Nachiappan and tap into our network of 190 other practitioners

A professional and ethical approach to patient care

A professional and ethical approach to patient care in Australia is guided by nationally recognized standards and codes developed by regulatory bodies such as the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and individual National Boards (e.g., Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia). These standards ensure clinicians deliver safe, respectful, and culturally competent care that prioritises patient well-being.
