Bayside ESA
This role operates within the Bayside Employment Services Area (ESA), covering Dandenong, Chadstone, Cheltenham, and Nunawading, with outreach services extending to Kew.
What You'll Do
As a Work Support Mentor in the IEA program, you'll play a key role in helping participants with disability, injury, or health conditions thrive in their new roles. You'll provide tailored post-placement support, build strong relationships with employers, and provide practical, on-the-job assistance that promotes confidence, independence, and long-term success.
- Support Participant Success:Provide ongoing mentoring and regular check-ins to help participants maintain employment and grow in their roles.
- Strengthen Employer Partnerships: Collaborate with employers to identify workplace needs and deliver practical, on-the-job support that benefits both participants and businesses.
- Deliver Practical Solutions:Assist participants with workplace training, upskilling, and adjustments to promote independence and job sustainability.
- Monitor Progress:Track employment milestones and outcomes to ensure participants remain supported and on course for long-term success.
- Program Compliance:Manage accurate documentation, wage subsidies, and reporting requirements in line with program guidelines and performance goals.
What You Bring
- Relevant Background:A Certificate or Diploma in Community or Employment Services (or related field) or lived experience navigating support systems to achieve education or employment outcomes is highly regarded.
- Person-Centred Approach:Experience delivering respectful, tailored support that builds on individual strengths and promotes independence.
- Compassionate Practice:Skilled in building trust and providing empathic, practical support while maintaining professionalism and achieving results.
- Tech Savvy:Confident with Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and digital tools.
- Pre-Requisites:Full eligibility to work in Australia, with the ability to travel locally and obtain a National Police Check, Working with Children Check, and/or Vulnerable Persons Check.
