About this Role:

Join SunRice's Corporate Development team and play a key role in shaping our growth strategy. This is an outstanding opportunity for a motivated professional to gain hands-on experience in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and investor relations (IR) within a dynamic, ASX-listed global food business.

This position can be based in our Chadstone (Melbourne) office, or our Sydney CBD office.

What You'll Do:

  • Support M&A Execution: Assist in evaluating strategic, commercial, and valuation aspects of potential transactions and contribute to due diligence processes.
  • Opportunity Assessment: Help analyse qualitative and quantitative attributes of potential acquisition targets.
  • Market & Competitor Analysis: Conduct research to identify strategic opportunities aligned with SunRice's growth objectives.
  • Investor Relations Support: Prepare investor presentations, assist with reporting, and undertake share registry analysis.
  • Capital Markets Insights: Monitor equity and debt markets, monitor trading multiples, and support capital market initiatives.
  • Board & Executive Materials: Contribute to the development of investment papers and strategic presentations for SunRice management.
  • Strategic Planning: Contribute to initiatives that support SunRice's 2030 Strategic Plan.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience: Has 5+ years' experience within a similar role from within corporate finance or a professional services environment. Exposure to investment banking, legal, or engineering sectors is a plus.
  • Education: Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Economics, or related disciplines. Completion or progress toward CPA or CA is advantageous.
  • Skills:

  • Strong analytical and financial modelling capabilities.

  • Understanding of M&A processes and valuation principles.
  • Ability to synthesise insights into clear, compelling documents and presentations.

  • Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative and confident in building relationships across teams.
