We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Doctor Talent Acquisition Specialist to lead the attraction, engagement, and recruitment of Doctors across our national network — with a primary focus on Occupational Medicine and General Practice. This is a strategic, relationship-focused role ideal for someone who thrives in healthcare recruitment and is driven to connect talented clinicians with meaningful career opportunities.

About the Role

You will lead end-to-end recruitment for Doctors across Sonic HealthPlus. From identifying and engaging Occupational Medicine specialists and General Practitioners, to managing the full recruitment lifecycle, your efforts will ensure our clinics are staffed with exceptional medical professionals who align with our mission and values.

You will also represent Sonic HealthPlus at national conferences and industry events, playing a vital role in growing our presence and reputation as an employer of choice in the healthcare sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify, engage, and build relationships with doctors across Occupational Medicine and General Practice
  • Lead the full recruitment lifecycle, including attraction, screening, interviewing, offer negotiation, and onboarding coordination
  • Collaborate with senior clinical and operational leaders to forecast workforce needs and develop recruitment strategies
  • Represent Sonic HealthPlus at medical conferences, career expos, and professional networking events
  • Partner with Marketing, People & Culture, and Operations to support targeted recruitment campaigns and employer branding initiatives
  • Maintain accurate candidate and recruitment data, providing regular reporting on talent pipelines and hiring activity

About You

  • Demonstrated experience in healthcare recruitment or specialist engagement (experience in GP or Occupational Medicine essential)
  • Strong knowledge of medical credentialing, registration processes, and the Australian healthcare workforce landscape
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and candidates
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills
  • Goal-driven, with a passion for connecting healthcare professionals to purpose-led opportunities
  • Experience working in a multi-site or networked healthcare organisation is desirable
  • Willingness to travel for events, site visits, and in-person candidate engagement
