Charge Up Operator

• Charge and fire development rounds in accordance with site procedures and safety standards.
• Handle, transport, and store explosives safely and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and load blast holes with appropriate explosive products and accessories.
• Conduct pre- and post-blast inspections to ensure area safety and blast effectiveness.
• Operate and maintain charge-up equipment, including ITs, loaders, and explosive delivery systems.
• Communicate effectively with shift supervisors, jumbo operators, and other underground personnel.
• Complete required documentation, including charge-up reports, explosive usage logs, and safety checklists.
• Participate in safety meetings and toolbox talks, contributing to a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

• Assist with other underground tasks as required, including scaling, barricading, and general development support.
