Join Our Team as a Supported Independent Living (SIL) Support Worker with Heart Led Support.

Location: Eagleby/Beenleigh

Employment Type: Casual / Part-Time Pay: SCHADS Award (with penalty rates, sleepover allowances & overtime where applicable) About the Role.

We are seeking passionate, reliable and motivated SIL Support Workers to join our fast-growing team. You will be working directly with participants in a Supported Independent Living (SIL) environment, helping them thrive in their daily lives while providing a safe, supportive and empowering space.

This is a rewarding role for someone who is ready to make a real difference and contribute to a team that values integrity, collaboration, and person-centred care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care including assistance with hygiene, grooming, meals, and mobility.
  • Support participants with daily living skills and community engagement.
  • Deliver support during sleepovers and overnight shifts.
  • Communicate effectively with participants, families, and the broader team.
  • Use strong de-escalation techniques to support participants through behavioural or emotional challenges.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and shift notes in line with compliance standards.
  • Contribute to a fast-paced team environment with flexibility and a solutions-focused approach.

What We're Looking For

  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written.
  • High Needs experience – previous SIL or complex support experience highly regarded.
  • Ability to remain calm and de-escalate situations with empathy and professionalism.
  • Knowledge of the SIL sector and NDIS framework is a plus.
  • Certificates in Disability, Community Services, or Individual Support (or working towards) are highly desirable.
  • Current First Aid & CPR certification.
  • Valid Blue Card / NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle.
  • Ability to communicate efficiently to Management.
  • CPI Trained (not necessary but would be a bonus)
