Living Gems is seeking an experienced and proactive Commercial Site Manager to oversee the construction of high-end resort facilities at our new over-50s lifestyle resort in Townsville. With construction kicking off soon, we're ready to welcome a commercially experienced leader to help set up and run the commercial delivery side of our resort.

This includes key resort amenities such as a country club, summer house, and entry statement—the hallmark communal features that set Living Gems resorts apart. You'll lead a team including a Foreman, Leading Hand, Plant Operators, and Labourers, managing a well-sequenced build from start to finish.

About the Role

• Oversee the construction of multiple resort commercial structures
• Manage project delivery within timeframes, budget, and safety regulations
• Supervise day-to-day site activity and provide leadership to all trades
• Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to ensure high standards of quality
• Collaborate with the residential site team to ensure shared success
• Maintain safety compliance and conduct regular site safety assessments

What You'll Bring

• Demonstrated experience managing commercial builds (ideally within resort, hospitality or community-style developments)
• QBCC Open Builders Licence (or relevant qualification)
• Strong understanding of commercial construction processes, timelines and compliance
• Proven experience managing trades, suppliers and site crews
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Confident decision-maker with strong leadership qualities
• Familiarity with construction software (e.g. Onsite Companion or similar)
• Trade background highly desirable
