My Care Living is seeking a dedicated experienced Disability Support Worker to assist our client in Bundamba, QLD. Due to the client's personal care needs (e.g., bathing, dressing, peg feeding), this role requires an experienced support worker to provide high intensity care. As a Support Worker, your role will be dynamic and rewarding:
- Assist clients with daily personal needs, including personal care tasks (e.g., bathing, dressing, peg feeding and manual handling, high intensity care).
- Participate in social activities and help clients build skills they're passionate about.
- Work with clients who have challenging behaviors, collaborating with psychologists and behavior specialists to implement strategies and learn about behavior management.
- Represent the My Care Living brand by facilitating care plans and making a meaningful difference in the lives of our team and customers.
The Essentials for This Role
We're looking for candidates who meet the following requirements:
- NDIS Workers Screening Check.
- First Aid/CPR certificate.
- High Intensity care experience
- Peg feeding, catheter change
- Experience in manual handling (e.g., using hoists).
- Excellent communication and rapport-building skills.
- Ability to work independently in dynamic situations.
- Valid driver's license and confident driving.
- Strong documentation and reporting skills.
- Strong attention to detail and risk awareness.
- Commitment to attending team meetings and training.
Required:
- Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent.
- Experience in disability support or aged care.
- Ability to conduct environmental risk assessments.
