About Matthews Architects

Matthews Architects is a design-led practice based in North Adelaide, specialising in commercial, civic, and education projects. Our studio is a collaborative and supportive environment where ideas are valued, creativity is encouraged, and professional growth is a priority.

Due to an increase in workload, we are creating an additional position for an experienced Graduate of Architecture  with a strong BIM focus. This role is ideal for someone who holds a Masters Degree (or equivalent) in Architecture and has at least 2 years post graduate experience within an architecture firm.

We are seeking someone with strong technical skills and expertise working with in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Sketchup. We value collaboration, creativity, and empathy, and we're committed to helping our team members grow both personally and professionally. We have a strong focus on guiding graduates toward architectural registration, offering support and mentorship throughout the process to help you achieve this important career milestone.

Key Responsibilities:

· Assist in the design and documentation of architectural projects

· Collaborate with senior architects, interior designers, and clients to develop innovative solutions

· Participate in design workshops and project meetings

· Contribute to project research, analysis, and presentations

· Support the team in ensuring projects are delivered on time and to a high standard

· Collaborate with project teams to facilitate BIM integration throughout all project phases, ensuring documentation can be coordinated to a high standard between the design team.

Key Requirements:

· A Masters degree in Architecture

· Minimum 2 years post graduate experience in an architecture firm

· Excellent communication and teamwork skills

· Proficiency in design software (Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, etc.)

· Eagerness to learn, grow, receive feedback and develop professionally

· A creative and proactive approach to problem-solving

Desirable Attributes

· Autodesk Revit Professional Certification.

· Experience with BIM Execution Plans (BEPs).

· Familiarity with interdisciplinary coordination and clash detection.
