ABOUT THE ROLE
The primary purpose of the Material Coordinator role is to coordinate a team of Warehouse Officers performing the function of inventory management within the Northwest Supply Base. This includes overview of material processing into and out of the warehouse. Ensuring each business process and controls are adhered to.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate a team of Warehouse Officers to deliver safe and efficient operations as directed by Qube management
- Be a Subject Matter Expert on inventory management systems and processes
- Provide development and training opportunities to the warehouse officers regarding warehouse inventory management processes and systems
- Encourage Warehouse Officers to take ownership and control end to end process
- Receive and coordinate material requests and points of enquiry from stakeholders
- Establish documentation filing process and coordinate team to ensure compliance
- Ensure cycle counts are completed in a timely manner and as per schedule
- Analyse, report and correct material discrepancies
- Take an active role in supporting material management and transactions within the NWSB
- Proactively communicate within the supply chain stakeholders to meet customer requirements
- Ensure quarantine compliance, dangerous goods storage, handling and transportation is carried out safely and in accordance with relevant policies and regulations.
- Maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPI) reports
- Contribute to development, implementation and accuracy of all procedures and policies
- Monitor, report, and rectify all inbound / outbound CoR non-conformance events to ensure safe movement of material in the supply chain and industry best practice of load restraint is integrated and observed within the operation
- Provide coverage for Logistics Coordinator on occasion
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- 3+ Years' experience in a similar role
- Specialised systems knowledge
- Computer literate and experienced in MS Office Suite
- Current Australian Driver's Licence (Car)
- Current Forklift Licence (LF)
- Chain of Responsibility qualification
- Certificate III or IV Warehouse Operations (Desirable)
- Dogman License (Desirable)
- Load Restraint Training
- Dangerous Goods Awareness and qualified in in transport of DG by Road, Air & Sea
- Experience in JDE is highly regarded, as well as knowledge of other inventory management systems
- Qualified equipment operator forklifts ranging from 2.5T to 16T including material picking platforms and high reach warehouse equipment
